How to edit or delete a product type (mobile)

In this article, you will learn how to rename a product type or delete an empty product type on mobile. Product types organize products in the price list.

Use product types to group your offer internally and make products easier to find in the price list, for example Hair care, Home care, or Drinks. They are not stock quantities or tax categories.


Edit a product type


  1. Open the Main menu.
  2. Under Business, tap Settings, then under Price list, tap Products.
  3. Expand the product type and tap the pencil icon.
  4. Change the Name.
  5. Tap Save.


Products inside the type remain unchanged and are displayed under the new type name.


Delete a product type


  1. Open the product type editor as described above.
  2. Tap Delete and confirm.


Important: A product type cannot be deleted while it contains products. Move each product to another type or delete it by following the related article first.
