How to create and edit a gift card template (desktop)

In this article, you will learn how to create and edit a gift card template through the Zoyya partner web app on desktop.


The template stores the value, price, validity, service restrictions, terms, and design. Use it to issue the same offer more quickly at the location or to make it available for online sales.

When should you use this option?


Create a template when you want to:


  • reuse the same gift card settings
  • define value, price, and validity in advance
  • limit redemption to selected services or service types
  • enable clients to purchase the offer online


Create a template


Open a new template


  1. Open Programs > Gift cards and packages > Templates.
  2. Click New template.
  3. Select Gift card to open Basic information.


Basic information


  1. Enter the template Name.
  2. Set Validity by entering a number and selecting days, weeks, months, or years.
  3. Enter the Value the client can redeem.
  4. Enter the Price the client pays.
  5. Add a Discount if needed. When the price or discount percentage changes, Zoyya updates the other value.
  6. Check the displayed VAT rate used on the receipt.
  7. Click Next step.


Service restrictions


  1. Turn on Limit gift card to selected services only when the gift card should not apply to every service.
  2. Click Add service and select individual services or service types.
  3. Click Next step.


When the restriction is off, the gift card can be redeemed for all services.


Description, terms, and design


  1. Enter the Description shown on Zoyya web pages.
  2. Use Generate with AI if desired, then review and edit the suggested text.
  3. Review the Terms of use and click Next step.
  4. Click Choose existing design or Upload to add your own image.
  5. Adjust the available text elements, their position, size, font, and color, then click Next step.


Recommendation: For the best result, use a 1.6:1 image at 650 x 410 px. Keep important elements away from the edges because gift card information is displayed over the design.


Online sales and saving


  1. Turn on Online sales if clients should be able to purchase this gift card online.
  2. If the option is unavailable, review what is required for online sales of gift cards and service packages.
  3. Click Next step.
  4. Review the details and click Create template.


The template appears in the template list. A template is optional because a gift card can also be created without one.


Edit a gift card template


  1. Open Programs > Gift cards and packages > Templates.
  2. Select the template you want to edit.
  3. Change the available basic details, validity, value, price, service restrictions, description, terms of use, design, or online sales setting.
  4. Click Save.


Template changes apply to future issuing and future online sales. Gift cards that were already issued retain the details and contents with which they were created.


If you only want to remove the template from online sales temporarily, turn off Online sales instead of deleting it.


Frequently asked questions


Does editing a template change previously issued items?


No. Previously issued gift cards keep the details with which they were created.


Must a gift card be limited to selected services?


No. Without a restriction, it can be redeemed for all services.
