Payment methods on a payment device (desktop)

Payment types determine which payment methods the user sees when issuing a bill on a certain payment device. They are set by payment device, so different payment points have separate settings.

This article is about the affiliate Zoyya web app on PC.

When to use this option?

Payment types are used when:

  1. the user determines which payment methods he sees when issuing the invoice,
  2. the location does not accept a certain type of payment on that device,
  3. Transaction should be turned on or off,
  4. Viva Wallet should be turned on or off,
  5. you need to set a discount for a certain type of payment,
  6. when issuing an invoice, the expected payment method is missing.

Operation steps

Opening the card

  1. On your computer, open Zoyya.
  2. In the left menu, open Receipts.
  3. Open the Cash register.
  4. Open Cash register settings.
  5. Open Payment devices.
  6. Open the device used to issue the invoice.
  7. Open the tab Types of payment.

Turn payment types on or off

  1. Check the payment types used on that device.
  2. Uncheck unused payment types.
  3. For each type included, enter the discount percentage when the discount applies.
  4. For payment type without discount, leave discount on 0.
  5. Click Save.

Check when issuing invoices

  1. Open the cash register on that device.
  2. Start creating a new account.
  3. In the payment selection section, check that the expected types are displayed.
  4. If the payment type is not displayed, go to Accounts > Cash register > Cash register Settings > Payment Devices and check the Payment Types tab on the default device.

Important: When creating a new account, only payment types that are enabled on the default payment device are displayed.

The card includes or excludes the types of payments that are displayed when the invoice is issued.

Available types are:

  1. Cash,
  2. Card,
  3. Transaction,
  4. Viva Wallet,
  5. Other.

When a particular type of payment is enabled, the application also displays a discount field:

  • Discount - Cash
  • Discount - Card
  • Discount - Transaction
  • Discount - Viva Wallet
  • Discount - Other

The discount is entered as a percentage and is applied when selecting that type of payment on the account.

Impact on issuing invoices

Changes to payment types are applied to future invoices issued from that payment device. They do not change already issued invoices.

Tips

The tip field is displayed for payment methods Cash and Card. With Transaction, Viva Wallet and Other, the application does not use the tip on the account.

Viva Wallet

Viva Wallet is enabled only when Viva Wallet is operationally set up for the location. If the location does not use Viva Wallet payment in Zoyya, this type of payment remains excluded.

e-Invoice and type of payment

The rules for e-Invoices are described in the articles Setting up outgoing and incoming e-Invoices (computer) and Overview and operation of outgoing e-Invoices (computer). This article serves to set visible payment types on the payment device.
