How memberships work in Zoyya
Introduction
In this article, you will learn how memberships work in Zoyya, from setting basic rules to assigning memberships to clients and tracking their usage.
Memberships are used for group appointments. A membership plan defines its duration, allowed visits, time restrictions, included services, and prices, while an individual membership links those rules to a client.
When to use memberships?
Use memberships when you want:
- offer memberships for group appointments with a limited or unlimited number of visits
- offer weekly, monthly, yearly, or one-time memberships
- limit use to certain days or hours
- limit use to selected services
- define special prices for certain groups of clients
- monitor membership validity and recorded visits.
How are memberships organized?
Memberships are organized through several interconnected elements:
Element | What is it for |
|---|---|
Type of membership fee | It defines the rules, duration, limits and price of the membership fee. |
Client Group | It provides different prices for certain groups of clients. |
Time interval | It determines in which days and hours the membership fee can be used. |
Membership fee | Represents the specific membership assigned to the client. |
Membership period | Stores the usage rules that applied when the period was created. |
Overview of memberships | It shows the status, periods, rules, and recorded usage. |
What does the whole process look like?
1. Set the rules
- create a type of membership fee
- add client groups if needed
- create time intervals if necessary
- associate them with the type of membership fee
2. Assign the membership fee to the client
Based on the type of membership fee, add a specific membership fee to the client.
3. Monitor usage
Track the status, periods and utilization of the membership fee during its duration.
How does a client renew a membership online?
When Online purchase and Online renewal are enabled for the membership type, the client opens the location in the Zoyya client application, selects Memberships, and buys the same membership type again.
After successful payment, Zoyya checks for an active renewable membership of the same type. If it exists, the purchase is recognized as a renewal and the next period is created after the current or already scheduled future period. The client does not need to link the old and new purchase manually.
The one-time One-time (in days) membership is not renewed. After it expires, the client buys a new one-time membership.
Cancelling a group appointment that uses a membership
This appointment follows the appointment cancellation deadline under Settings > Location > Online reservations.
When a staff member removes a client from a group appointment, Zoyya displays Poništi dolazak na članarini (Reverse membership visit). It is selected by default before the deadline and cleared by default after the deadline. Before confirming, the staff member can choose whether to return the visit to the membership or leave it used.
The deadline and the behavior of a regular appointment are explained for desktop and mobile.

Why do I have to create a membership fee type first?
The membership fee type determines the rules that will be used by all new memberships assigned to clients.
Do I have to create a time slot?
No. Use the time interval only if you want to limit the use of the membership fee to certain days or hours.
