# How to open a cash register (mobile)

Open the cash register in the partner Zoyya web application before issuing receipts. Opening it creates an active cash register for the selected payment device and location.

## When to use this option?

Open the cash register at the start of a working day or shift, or before the first receipt is issued. It does not need to be reopened for every receipt.

## Work steps

### Open the cash register

1. On the bottom bar, tap **Cash register**.
2. Under **Cash register**, tap **Cash register - journal**.
3. If **No active cash register** is displayed, tap **Open cash register**.
4. Wait for the confirmation that the cash register was opened successfully.
5. Check the cash-register number and opening time.
6. Tap **New receipt** to issue a receipt.

### If the cash register cannot be opened

Review any warning that the cash-register settings need to be updated. Complete the marked requirement, such as the payment device, fiscalization certificate or operator. || Important: Only one cash register can be active for the same payment device. If a journal from an earlier date is still active, close it before continuing.
