# How to connect the service with employees and resources (desktop)

In this article, you will learn how to use the partner Zoyya web application on your computer to determine which employees can provide a particular service and which resources are needed to perform it. These settings determine the availability of the service when booking an appointment.

## When to use this option?

Use this option when:
* you are adding a new service
* worker starts providing a new service
* want to limit who can run a particular service
* service requires the use of resources or equipment

## Associating service with employees

On your computer, do the following:

1. Open **Settings** → **Price list** → **Services**.
2. Open the desired service.
3. Open the **Employees** tab.
4. Uključite opciju **Required employees**.
5. Select all employees or mark individual employees who can provide the selected service.
6. If necessary, adjust **gross duration**, **net duration**, **price** or **discount** for each employee. The same duration rule applies as for the service: gross is the total calendar time, net is the actual service time, and net cannot be longer than gross.

### Associating service with resources

1. Open the **Resources** tab.
2. Turn on the **Required resources** option.

|| Important: Clients can book a service only with employees who are associated with that service. If the service uses resources, they must be available at the selected time in order for the reservation to be possible.

## Frequently asked questions

Yes. If no employee is connected to the service, it will not be possible to book the service.

#### When to use resources?
You use resources when certain equipment or space is needed to perform the service, for example a room, machine or massage table.

#### Can I set a different duration or price for an individual employee?
Yes. You can set the service duration, price and discount separately for each connected employee.
